Electrophysiology services
Axiogenesis has provided services in electrophysiology services for more than 4 years. Axiogenesis customers are primarily pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and academic institutions which have compounds where the in vivo results do not match the in vitro predictions. Here the physiological systems using primary like cells can provide very good data to either determine the mode of action or to identify the compound with the least toxic effect on cardiomyocytes.
Our focus is to use physiological cells (primary-like in vitro differentiated cells) and gaining the maximum of content from them. These cells have the great advantage that they are cardiomyocytes with all the necessary molecular setting and they are fully functional.
Axiogenesis assay systems are developed with clinically relevant “gold standard” compounds and validated in blinded experiments against clinical data. To properly evaluate the data we have worked closely with device manufacturer and have developed proprietary data analysis software. This is especially important to evaluate high content data generated by micro electrode array (MEA) analysis. To satisfy the increased demand we have established a multi position MEA station enabling the parallel measurement of 9 samples.
